When I was single, I spent my summer days lounging by the pool and maybe running out for a cold treat on the hottest days. Now that I'm a husband and father, my wife and I run ourselves ragged trying to find activities that will keep our kids cool and entertained when school is out. One summertime activity that is always a hit is making our own ice cream using easy homemade recipes. The kids love choosing their own flavors and we love using healthy, low-fat ingredients.

In order to make this homemade dish, it is important to have a few ingredients on hand.
• 1 cup of heavy cream
• 2 pints of strawberries (or blueberries, peaches and any other fruit that may make a great flavor!)
• ½ cup of milk
• ½ cup and 1 tablespoon of sugar
• 1 teaspoon of flour
• 8 teaspoons of lemon juice
• An ice cream maker
• A food processor or a powerful blender

Once the ingredients are ready to go, the dish can be prepared in just a few simple steps.

• Use a blender or food processor to puree the strawberries, blueberries or whatever fruit is being used to flavor the finished product.

• In a large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients in the recipe and mix them well.

• Put the mixture in the refrigerator or freezer to chill, but do not let it get too hard. In order to keep it soft, try adding a teaspoon of liquor, such as vodka. The amount is not nearly enough to affect anyone and will keep the ice cream at a pleasant texture.

• Scoop the mixture into an ice cream maker and follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer. Be sure to read all instructions carefully before beginning to create the best possible frozen treat.

This recipe is a recipe cookie bars. It 'pretty easy to do, and will be in addition to any big party. You can serve on a plate or dish, if desired. The bonus of this recipe is that it has also served on napkins if you wish, you have to treat a hand if you wish.

They will then add the mixture into a greased 12 of dough 12-inch baking pan and no-press the dough into the pan until it is smooth and flat. Will cook for about 10 minutes and 180 degrees in the oven to ensure even cooking, then cook for another 10Minutes, until golden brown in total, so about 20 minutes. I would check with the kitchen, just to make sure there is always overcooked.

While you want to bake the crust to start your Texas Pecan filling:

2 cups chopped pecans, shelled

1 stick unsalted butter

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 / 3 Karo Syrup

First, if you will not be crushed or ground pecans, you have to grind in a food processor or by hand. Sauceskillet, melt the butter and then add the brown sugar, Karo syrup. Bring to a boil, put the mixture, stir often and cook for about 2 or 3 minutes. It begins to move in the pecans, and ensure that they completely covered cake with this mixture. Remove the pan from the heat. If the crust is ready, pour the mixture over the pecans top and make sure it is evenly distributed. Then bake the bars of pecan pie for about 20 to 25 minutes.
